The latest version of the CollectionOD is now available after receiving a major upgrade
This on-line database application is increasing in popularity due to more stable, and more available, Internet connections. This has driven the demand to upgrade the CollectionOD to match, or improve, the popular off-line products such as HumanitiesCMD and ResourceMD.

The v13.0 upgrade includes:
Dupicate an item: this is a new option diplicates the record / item you are viewing. There is now a simple process to duplicate all the fields in the following modules: Description, Chapters (without Producers), Links, Management and Producers associated. This saves a lot of capturing if items are similar - plus, assisting in standardising terminilogy. Once the duplicate is created you an easily make your own edits.

Collection information - a central section to add / edit details about your collection:
- Title that applies to the whole collection.
- Compiler(s) records who documents, curates and manages the collection.
Summary for writing a general summary or abstract about the collection as a whole.
Consists of to detail what it consists of such as type of items and subjects / themes covered.
Dates that apply to the collection as a whole.
Copyright to record who has the copyright.
Location records the general location..
Additional information for any additional information about the collection, i.e. contact details.
Notes to record general notes for administration purposes.
Global totals - one place to instantly see totals across the entire database:
- Item Description(s) gives the total number of Item Description records.
- Images for the total number of images associated with the Item Descriptions.
- Chapters for the total number of chapters associated with the Item Descriptions.
- Producers offers the total for all artists, authors, photographers, etc.
Management give the total number of management records.
Quick edits - quickly go from a search to edit and back again:
This is a new feature that allows for quick editing via search results. It applies to the global searches and specific searches in modules: Producer, Item Description or Management. If you click an item in the search results and update the information, a button appears that takes you back to your search results - ready to edit the next one.
Date formats standardised - various date formats standardised across the whole application:
Date field: standardised using script which inserts slashes (/) as the date is entered, i.e. 16052025 is entered and while captured 16/05/2025 is displayed.
Date / text field: any text / symbols / numbers etc. can be stored and used for approximate dates.
Date / year field: to capture a numeric 4 x digits in a year only format.
