When transferring a data file via email it is necessary to compress the file prior to sending. The following steps use the ContactMD as an example:

1. Close the ContactMD
   
2. Open Windows Explorer: quickest way is to right-click on the Start button and select Explore
3. Go to the c:\DataFlow folder
   
4. Right-click on the add_d.mdb* and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder
5. A new file called add_d.zip* will appear in the same folder - often with a folder icon
   
6. Right-click on the add_d.zip and select Send to > Mail recipient
7. An email message will appear with the add_d.zip attached - simply enter the email address and send
   

* Depending on your computer settings, the '.zip' and '.mdb' file extensions do not appear.
