Using the Trust Center

Assigning trusted locations

If you receive an error message opening Logos Flow projects, 'The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot be read ...'. There are a number of options to pursue to remove this error.

1) Microsoft Office 2010 and above has a number of security settings to avoid malicious programs from damaging your computer. You need to set trusted locations so the Logos Flow products can run.

To assign Trusted Locations: click File (on the top left) > Privacy Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations (see image).

Then click the Add new location option and browse to the C:\DataFlow folder and click OK. The Trust Center will then include the C:\DataFlow folder.

Important: if you have the data file in a shared folder you will also need to add the networked folder as well.

2) Open the Logos Flow product again, if you still receive an error, try the following: click File (on the top left) > Privacy Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings. Then click the Enable all macros setting (this is not recommended but there are no malicious code in Logos Flow products).

3) Open the Logos Flow product again, if you still receive an error, install the Runtime version of Microsoft Access 2010 or 2013 (see link below).

Note: you might need to re-install the product again once the various settings have been changed.
